Penobscot Blend Compost and Peat: Complete Planting Mix

Penobscot is an ideal mix for in-ground planting. Comprised of salmon and blueberry compost, mussel shell fragments, and sphagnum peat moss. Penobscot is at its best when mixed with native soil. Not only does it help to aerate heavy soil conditions, but the mussel shells act as an abrasive to destructive rodents, thus repelling these little monsters. Another added benefit—these shells are a rich source of calcium. Whenever we dig a hole for planting, Penobscot is there!
