We know a thing or two about birds & bugs!

On this site in 1936, Merrimack Farmers' Exchange (a member of the New Hampshire-wide farmers' co-op) converted this building, then the Boston & Lowell and Concord Railroad Station into a major animal feed supplier for the local agricultural community.  For many years, feed arrived to us by rail in 100 lb. bags. Though the days of toting such bags are thankfully over, our mission today remains steadfastly the same. We strive to bring you top quality nutrition for your animals as well as your plants.  Believing in a natural, holistic approach to gardening and animal care, we bring to you animal feed, seeds, fertilizers and pest controls that are safe for pets, people and the environment.  We recognize that these are the products you care about, and these are the very products that we ourselves use. We also carry conventional fertilizers and pest controls to meet specific needs.

Last, but certainly not least, we are here with advice and guidance to help you use our products efficiently, safely and cost effectively.  Gene holds degrees in both Wildlife Biology and Entomology and Judy a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Together they sum up over a hundred years of experience in lawn, vegetable and perennial gardening.  You can count on us to give you the straight answers you deserve!
